It was here, in this unique landscape with its healing climate, that the painter Balthus made his home, enchanted by the fragrances of milk, honey and hints of citrus from the ancient lime trees that surrounded his studio. Today, like a wonderful memory, his favourite perfume fills this place once again."

The Grand Chalet contains essences of oud wood, galbanum, cypress wood, cedar wood, nutmeg and vegetable notes.

Composition of an Astier de Villatte candle:

WAX
It is unique and 100% natural (paraffin free, petrochemical derivative or GMO free). It is the magical result of soybean oil, secret plants and a little beeswax blend. The composition of this wax, and the fact that it was made by the best wax makers, favours the restitution of fragrances both hot and cold.

THE WICK
Woven in pure coton, it provides a perfect long lasting combustion which can last burns for 60 to 70 hours depending on the scent.

CUPS
Astier de Villatte's chic candles are made of mouth-blown glass and carry labels printed by the last French typographer. Each candle has a unique and exclusive label design which willingly plays collector. These candles are blown in Tuscany.
